Such a profession of faith could not be uttered here without the art of dialogue mastered with professionalism by Bogdan-Ion Jelea, without Alice Barbu's mastery of documentation, synthesizing and recording, and without the wisdom of the coordinating editor Sorin Roșca Stănescu, a senior of the Romanian press and a fine analyst of the country and the world. All of them have competed for the "Aristocrat" of blood and spirit Constantin Bălăceanu-Stolnici to reveal himself to us as a man and as a Romanian. His personality is a true effigy placed on Romania - this patch of land on the Danube, the Carpathians, the Sea and the Dniester - whose history is unimaginable without our people descended from antiquity, without our language and Christian faith, all of which give us our identity. Like a smooth flow, the narrative drawn from a secular life experience exudes stability and teaches us that - to paraphrase a Latin saying - since we are human, nothing that is human must remain alien to us.
